Air pollution in Asia remains a critical issue. This past year major cities like Bangkok, Jakarta and Manilla joined traditionally worrisome cities like Beijing and Delhi in having prolonged periods of risky air quality. There are multiple effects of such pollution including lost tourism dollars, reduced productivity, decreased quality of life and of course, increased health problems.
