As the COVID-19 pandemic ravages parts of Asia and the rest of the world, Food For Fighters (FFF) has a model to help cushion the blow.
FFF is a pioneering organization started in Thailand that provides nutritious meals to frontline healthcare workers, while supporting restaurants and hospitality staff impacted by lockdowns. The organization crowd funds donations to pay restaurants to make the meals and then delivers them to healthcare workers free of charge. They’ve created a smart and very successful win-win model, which they are expanding to Laos.

Thailand, like many countries is currently fighting a deadly third wave of COVID-19 cases. This has led to a surge in hospitalizations and a series of closures and lockdowns. Neighbouring Laos is facing similar issues. FFF network has solutions for both countries.
In Thailand, FFF network recently collaborated with World Rewards Solutions (WRS), Silver Voyage Club and Kuvanant Foundation to open a call centre in order to manage donations of essential foods and medical equipment.
Ms. Panchana Vatanasathien, Chairman of Khao Yai Tourism Association and Founder of FFF network explained that, “FFF receives the charitable support from World Rewards Solutions and Silver Voyage, the leading CRM providers in Thailand, to operate the call centre, at 02-0169910, operating from 09.00 to 17.00 hrs every day. This line is available for donors, health workers and the venerable to call.”
The FFF model was built to be adaptable to other markets and now FFF network is expanding to Laos. The plan is to crowd fund donations and food supplies in order to pay restaurants to prepare meals for their local teams to deliver to hospitals. They are recruiting volunteers for their team and looking for cash donations, food donations, food boxes to reduce single-use plastic, as well as medical supplies such as face masks, rubbing alcohol and thermometers.
As in Thailand, the operation in Laos is designed to provide a win-win for all involved.
As Asia and much of the world grapples with the third wave of the pandemic, innovative organizations like FFF are making a big difference for healthcare workers, restaurants and the volunteers who help make the program work. If you’re in a position to help please call their call centre at 02-0169910.
