China is an unbelievably large and diverse country. It’s easy to think of it just in terms of the tier 1 and 2 cities, but to see the real China you have to get out and experience the countryside. That’s how you can see China in a new light.

Filmmaker Daan van Reijn has created a wonderful movie called Wonder of Yangshou where he explores Guilin, Guangxi China. It’s a beautiful area known for its Karst landscape and unique minority peoples. He captures the beauty off the region with tenderness and an artist’s eye.
