New TV Series Celebrates Food in Asia

We’ve often written about how important food is across Asia. There are so many regional differences, culinary choices and different opinions of taste and flavor that you could never get bored with eating in Asia. And now The Asian Food Channel has a new series which looks at the passion Asian Chefs have for food and the cities they live in. 3 Chefs, 1 City debuts March 10 at 9pm (SG) and 8pm (JKT/TH) on the Asian Food Channel. It’s an insider’s look at the people who drive the food scene on the continent.  Filmed in such locations as Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore, 3 Chefs, 1 City showcases the best of regional cuisine and the best cooking talent in Asia.

The Bangkok episode starts with Chef Dylan Jones who walks the audience through one of Bangkok’s best, sprawling, chaotic local markets, before local favorite Chef Ian Kittichai shows off two of his very different restaurants. Finally David Thompson, the Chef who single-handedly brought Thai food to the western world, takes the viewer into the evening and its delectable night markets. This is Bangkok as you’ve never seen it.
