As the world surpasses 20 million COVID-19 infections we thought it would be a good reminder to bring you this audio podcast of Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO Director-General. It’s a sobering and yet optimistic view of the future.
As the Director General notes, “Behind these statistics is a great deal of pain and suffering. Every life lost matters.
I know many of you are grieving and that this is a difficult moment for the world. But I want to be clear, there are green shoots of hope and no matter where a country, a region, a city or a town is – it’s never too late to turn the outbreak around.”
The message we all need to take away is that, “it’s never too late to turn the outbreak around.” Please have a listen.
