The World Economic Forum has looked at how prepared Asian cities are for the future and decided that these are 10 future-proofed Asian cities based on various factors.

And this is timely info becasue currently, under half of all Asians live in cities, compared to over 80% Americans, while the UN predicts that Asia will be home to 60% of the world’s megacities by 2025. That’s defined as a city with over 10 million people. Right now though, there is a huge migration going on from the countryside to city all across Asia and cities will need to be prepared.

Not surprisingly the most prepared cities right now are the wealthy ones like Tokyo and Singapore. However it’s gratifying to see KL and Bangkok also make the top 10 list.
