The Changing Culture Of Business In Asia Part 2

To understand how the changing culture of business in Asia affects the lives of Gen Z workers, we interviewed two young professionals who shared their perspectives and experiences.

Lena Lee, 24, is a digital marketing manager at a Korean beauty brand in Seoul. She joined the company two years ago after graduating from university with a degree in communications. She is responsible for creating and executing online campaigns for the brand’s products across various platforms, such as social media, video, and e-commerce.

“I love my job because it allows me to use my creativity and skills to connect with our customers and grow our brand awareness. I also enjoy working with a diverse team of people who have different backgrounds and expertise. We learn from each other and collaborate well. Our company culture is very agile and innovative. We are always trying new things and experimenting with different ideas. We also get feedback and data from our customers regularly, which helps us improve our products and services.

I think our company is very attractive to Gen Z consumers because we understand their needs and preferences. We offer high-quality products that are made with natural ingredients and suit different skin types. We also have a strong brand identity that reflects our values and personality. We are not afraid to be different and stand out from the crowd. We also support social causes that are important to our customers, such as environmental sustainability and animal welfare.

I think our company is also very supportive of women’s empowerment and inclusion. We have many female leaders in our organization who inspire me and mentor me. They are very successful and respected in their fields. They also balance their work and personal lives well. They encourage me to pursue my career goals and aspirations, as well as take care of my health and well-being.”

Rajesh Kumar, 22, is a software engineer at an Indian fintech start-up in Bangalore. He joined the company six months ago after completing his bachelor’s degree in computer science. He is part of a team that develops mobile applications for financial services, such as payments, lending, insurance, and investing.

“I like my job because it challenges me and helps me grow as a professional. I work on cutting-edge technologies that solve real problems for our customers and society. I also work with a talented team of people who share my passion and vision for innovation. Our company culture is very flat and meritocratic. We have a lot of autonomy and responsibility in our work. We also have a lot of fun and camaraderie in our work.

I think our company is very appealing to Gen Z consumers because we offer them convenient and affordable solutions for their financial needs. We use artificial intelligence and data analytics to provide them with personalized recommendations and offers. We also leverage digital platforms and ecosystems to reach them wherever they are. We also have a strong social mission to make financial services accessible and inclusive for everyone.

I think our company is also very progressive and inclusive in terms of gender equality. We have a balanced representation of men and women in our organization, especially in leadership positions. We also have a diverse team of people from different backgrounds, cultures, religions, and sexual orientations. We respect each other’s differences and celebrate each other’s strengths. We also have policies and programs that support the development and well-being of women, such as flexible work arrangements, maternity leave, childcare facilities, mentoring, training, etc.”
