These days as the world goes into a defense mode to blunt the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak we thought it would be interesting to see where companies spend on advertising. When marketers want to help their company re-emerge, these are the mediums they’ll to turn. and this is where their advertising dollars will go.
Looking at the most recent data available it is easy to see how the Internet has taken over from TV and print as the advertising medium of choice. It is estimated that $332.4 billion was spent on advertising online in 2019 versus just $70 billion on print. Google itself sold $103.7 billion dollars in ads in 2019. That’s more than every Print company and Radio combined.
The future is definitely online and increasingly that revenue is controlled bu Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft.
